Sub: Engagement of Technician Apprentice under Apprentices
(Amendment) Act, 1973 for the year 2010-2011

As per Notification of Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region), BHEL provides Apprenticeship Training to fresh Diploma Holders for one year under the provisions of the Apprentices (Amendment ) Act ,1973. There is no obligation on the part of BHEL to offer employment preference in employment to the Apprentices who are so trained or no obligation on the part of the apprentice to take up employment in the company.
Number of training vacancies to be filled (with particulars of reservations made for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules) for the year 2010-11 is as below:

1. Candidates possessing work experience of one year or above after completion of diploma are not eligible. 2. Candidates are required to qualify for award of Diploma within a period of three years (i.e) passed out in 2008, 2009 or 2010. 3. Sandwich courses are not eligible. |

As per Notification of Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region), BHEL provides Apprenticeship Training to fresh Degree Holders for one year under the provisions of the Apprentices (Amendment ) Act ,1973. There is no obligation on the part of BHEL to offer employment or preference in employment to the Apprentices who are so trained or no obligation on the part of the apprentice to take up employment in the company.

Stipend payable : Rs. 6000 /- per month from the date of joining |
Selection Criteria | : The selection of Graduate Apprentices under this Scheme will be governed by the Criteria and guidelines as indicated by the Director/Board of Apprenticeship Training. |
Application | : Application in the prescribed format along with copies of Certificates to be sent to AGM/HRDC. |
